Cinnamon Roll Sweet Dough

Ingredients:

1/2 cup warm water (not hot)

2 packages active dry yeast

1 1/2 cups lukewarm milk

1/2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons salt

2 eggs

1/2 cup soft shortening

7 to 7 1/2 cups sifted flour

 

Dissolve yeast in warm water, then add milk, sugar, salt, shortening, and eggs. Mix with spoon until smooth. Add enough flour to handle easily, then mix with hand. Round up in greased bowl. Let rise 1 1/2 hours. Punch down and let rise again until double in size. Roll into rectangle pour melted butter onto dough. Add brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up and slice with thread. Put into pans. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15 minutes.

Ice with:

Powdered sugar

3 tablespoons butter

2 teaspoons vanilla

Milk

Combine until reaches desired thickness
